Commitment is a challenge, and I have a wandering heart.
Although graphic design was my first love, my curiosity led me to explore other paths, and design briefly took a backseat.
Chado, the Japanese tea ceremony, taught me the power of intention. Yoga deepened my presence, attuning me to others’ needs. Traditional leather craftsmanship taught me precision and mastery.
These practices didn’t pull me away from design; they strengthened my connection to it, allowing me to create work that invites others to pause, breathe, and reflect. My explorations ultimately merged all my passions into a harmonious whole. In retrospect, my journey, filled with diverse lessons, shaped the designer I am today.
My name is Amanda Mei and I’m an art director & graphic designer based in Los Angeles, California.
